Why was Prudena started?
We believe that a value investing philosophy can be combined with psychological insight and innovated software to help people to make better financial decisions. It is our goal to leverage the latest academic research in the fields of Accounting, Value Investing and Behavioral Finance to deliver solutions to customers.
How Does Prudena Support Itself?
At Prudena we strive for transparency. We support ourselves by charging a subscription for premium memberships and providing custom solutions and consulting services to clients. We do not have conflicts of interest created by the need to cater to our advertisers. We are incentivized to make our products as compelling as possible to earn your support. We follow the Consumer Reports business model.
That said, in the future, we may engage in business partnerships that help us to support the site and improve the quality of the products that we can provide our subscribers. In those cases we will be transparent about the relationships, and they will be disclosed on this website.
How is Prudena different?
We do not believe that more information is better. We work to create an environment the filters out the noise so that people can focus on the important information. We are inspired by the best work in Value Investing, Behavioral Finance, and Quantitative Financial Analysis. As such, the site focuses on three main areas: analysis of firms' accounting, psychology of investors and markets, and simple statistical tools to help analyze "What if...?" scenarios.
